For the first time since their show together for the FOX affiliate in St. Louis, Mark, Matt K. and Andy E. are back together behind the microphone to take on the biggest stories (and kinda interesting ones) of the week.
With many a person working two jobs in the USA, the US Gov has decided to potentially raise the minimum wage. This has irritated the conservative businessmen of America and they are out in full force against the raise in pay. So our esteemed panel of hosts and guests will talk about the plan increase and what it means to all the hardworking people of the country.
Then, fresh off the heels of the Trayvon Martin case in Florida, a Missouri man decides to put property rights and defending yourself to the test as he shoots and kills a man for peeing on his property during a break on a float trip on the Meremec River. Was the man in his rights to defend his property or was this a case of mistaken machismo that went wrong. Two Conservatives and a Moderate/Liberal will discuss and break down all the angles for you.
Also, our favorite angry homosexual movie critic decides to bring the thunder on Pacific Rim and Warm Bodies. So where does Bill stand on these precious gems from Hollywood...tune in a listen to him take a couple shots at the works of art.
On this episode of The Q. Mark and Jeremy decide to fly the whole show by themselves discussing everything from what its like to be in the NAVY as well as the two guys horrible weeks. Car crashes and thunderstorms plagued the Midwest and these two were square in the middle of it as Tornadoes took out Mark's power and a wreck (without air bags deploying) almost took out Jeremy.
And the ranting doesn't stop there cause a Scripps National Spelling Bee champion was crowned and Mark doesn't like their introvert styles. Then it becomes a show about Hitlers when they talk about a Father of the Year candidate trying to get his custody rights back and a problem that JC Penny's is currently dealing with.
At this point Mark starts to take some Letters from the Listeners and one question in particular puts the show over the edge when Jeremy starts divulging a story from his military past. And a discussion regarding the recession puts Mark over the edge as he tries to explain how far we are from the economy being good again for the middle class and lower people.
Taking talk radio and turning it up to 11....its THE Q!
With Great Power, does come responsibility that some people are just not willing to take up. Such is a case with a nurse in California who lets a patient die because company policy and red tape (read as CONTRACTS) do not allow them to perform such task. Mark and Justing start the show off with a BANG discussing the rights and wrongs of this horrible situation. But then, COMIC CON is coming to St. Louis and The Q was incredibly excited to grab Jerry Milani to discuss some of the finer aspects of comic conventions and what to expect from the St. Louis one coming March 22-24th.
We also welcome Robb Davis to talk a little sports, but are overcome to find out how interested he was in discussing the death of William Moody (aka Paul Bearer) from the WWE. When we forgot to mention it in the sports segment, Robb goes out of his way to call back in and have us report on the famed wrestling managers career. Which, of course, leads to a discussion about favorite moments in Wrestling and everything else.
Plus don't forget that there is a little extra content in the OVERTIME, exclusive to the web show!
On this episode of the show...Robb Davis comes a calling to collect his Superbowl bet, but there was never a pot setup to win...so he wants blood and the listeners to come up with ways Mark can pay the debt. Also he talks a little sports too.
Then it is on to the next set of business as Mark and Justin decide to breakdown Mark's incessant bitching about Bloggers, Podcasters and everything in between. Not to mention a little back an forth regarding a 9 YEAR OLD GIRL that GIVES BIRTH! And eventually our two tried and true stallions of entertainment get around to asking those really important life questions of Justin. All this and so much more on this weeks episode of The Q...Taking talk radio and turning it up to 11!
This is one ACTION PACKED episode of St. Louis greatest Moderate/Liberal radio export....The Q! Mark starts the show off discussing his winning of a Riverfront Times Web Award for 2013. After that, he is joined by his station general manager and reputed Conservative Steve Kaspar of Westplex Broadcasting to discuss the finer differences between Cons and Libs. After that it is off to the sports side with Robb Davis, the CBG (cracker behind the glass), to discuss Stan Musial's passing and SuperBOWL! Then we finish it all out with a special (yearly) visit from Tone Cabral of Ace Films to discuss his trip and time out at the Sundance Film Festival and what to look out for. All this fun and nowhere to run...taking talk radio and turning it up to 11! That's what we do!
HE'S BACKKKKKKKK!!!!!!! Mark's former MMA co-host and always controversial individual Andy Echele jumps in for Justin and fireworks eventually ensue. First off the guys make a run to the sports side of the world to catch up with the CBG (cracker behind the glass) Robb Davis to discuss Alabama winning the BCS Championship game, Hockey making its triumphant return (blah!) and the snubbing of great Baseball players in regards to the Hall of Fame 2013. Then Mark and Andy jump into their old forms to talk a little MMA and the current status of it in 2013, mind you Andy ain't having it DANA WHITE. After all that settles, Andy and Mark graciously discuss the Pussification of the USA via gun laws and everything that Andy can find to throw at the idea. Also the two gents break down some listener emails where a question regarding weird or horrifying happenings from the past jogs Andy's memory on a very graphic situation a "cop friend" once told him about. Its a story to not be missed.
So all that and much more awaits you on the next episode of THE Q....Taking talk radio and turning it up to 11!
On this episode of The Q, Mark and Justin are joined by rival radio political host Tony Katz of rival St. Louis radio station 97.1 FM. Tony is a self proclaimed member of the Tea Party. A sensationalist to the extreme, it doesn't take long before the cats out the bag and Justin is verbally going TOE to TOE with Mr. Katz . So was there any common ground to be had? Listen in and find out!
In the second half of the show, Mark decides to take some Listener Emails, but that doesn't last long before him and riled up Justin start to discuss the virtues of being Homosexual and whether or not they are a bigger burden to themselves than they should be.
Its definitely a show to not miss and once again THE Q proves to be the only stomping ground where and ANY and ALL individuals (regardless of politics) can come to square up and throw down on the topics that influence our country! Real Radio, Real Honest.....its THE Q!
Mike Parsons and Robb Davis decide to join Mark for this shortened (due to compromise) final episode of 2012. The guys look back on the year including the death of Whitney Houston, Bounty Gate, face eating zombies in Florida and school shootings in CT. Also, let us not forget that it was also the the first year of Mark and Mike being a part of the Too Heavy to Skydive fantasy podcast league. Mark finally releases his feelings on beating out two other podcasts (hopefully they won't try in 2013 or the same results might ensue). And finally, the guys pick their story of the year for you all to remember. So take a trip with them back down memory lane as THE Q breaks down 2012!
Taking talk radio and turning it up to 11!
Well we made it to EPISODE 100 and we had a lot of fun things planned for the show....but then LIFE happened. A killer went into the elementary school in Newtown, CT and killed 26 people including 20 kindergarteners. I was a heart wrenching thing to see and hear about as it unfolded and by virtue of Mark's position on KYRO 1280am, it was necessary to put all the fanfare behind themselves and try to help a nation as it coped with unbelievable loss. Listen as camedian Matt Conty and Justin Deming join Mark in a very entertaining and interesting discussion surrounding the events that took place. If you have any questions or want to add your point of view, goto www.facebook.com/theqnow and post there.
After the most exciting start to any Q show in the history of the program, Mark and Justin delve into a discussion, or Mark's observation, that Barack Obama falls into that so tender and lofty position of HISTORICAL FIGURE (Conservative heads are spinning on that one). Also, Justin (being the new NEWS guy for the show)brings up the death of Larry Hagman and starts a discussion of the most watched TV programs in history. Whats on the list, listen to find out.
Also, Robb Davis once again joins the foray to bring the weekly sports talk to a head and the two discuss that yearly MLB Hall of Fame balloting and who should be included...or not.
All this and a return of the LETTERS FROM THE LISTNERS! Its the Q...Real Radio, Real Honest!
