Gary Weed and Producer Bobby joins Mark Bland on this show regarding sexual assault and how it should be viewed.
Now they will get to that eventually, but first up is a discussion. All three of our hosts are in a Fantasy Football league together where Mark is 1-1, Bobby is 0-2 and Gary is 2-0. First up Mark describes his issue with being in a fantasy league and trying to keep up with NFL Redzone TV while watching the games. Then the guys switch over to discuss players and names that are and are not allowed on the back of a NFL jersey.
Next we switch over to the news of the week and it's not all good for Donald Trump, President of the USA. Poor Donald's week started with Stormy Daniels outting his falice size in the most unattractive way possible. She compared his "member" to that of TOAD from MARIO KART. Well this sent the whole world on fire and the things people said are not pleasant about the President.
Also, Brett Kavanaugh is having a problematic week also. He disavows knowledge of a claim again him from High School. He has been accused of sexual assault by a woman that grew up with him. He claims it never happened, and she claims to want a FBI Investigation or else she won't testify in front of the Senate during these confirmation hearings. But it's not about a 30+ year old story...it's about a potential supreme court justice being a liar or not. He's claiming it never happened. But what if it did? The guys break all of this down.
Finally back into some sports talk revolving about betting coming to sports nationally and if players can be "gotten to" regarding fixing games. Can they....What if the Atlanta Falcons were told to drop the Superbowl on purpose? How would that really go?
There has been a lot of talk lately about who is better: Jordan or Lebron. Who is the GOAT! But we like going bigger on the Q. Who is the GOAT of all time! The best athlete of them all. And on this episode of the show, Mark decides he is going to throw out his pick for greatest athlete of all time. Will guest Gary Weed accept Mark's athlete or will he stand firm that Mark might be crazy in this thinking.
Also, Trump is still pissing off Kim Jong Un (who has earned it) during these peace talks with South Korea. The latest is that NK might pull out of the upcoming US/NK summit that was supposed to happen. Why is all this going on? We will discuss and break it down...plus....
Mark explains his thoughts on second hand and third hand smoke after a new article came out and Mark caught some flack for his stance.
Well change is in the air for the Q and Mark and Bobby travel down to their closest affiliate in Illinois to do the show from the studios of 1420 WINI! But bound to be a great show, the guys reach into the past to bring back someone that hadn't been on the show for a year and a half. Joey Lawrence comes back onto the Q to discuss whatever is on the minds of Mark and Bobby....
First up is the discussion of what has been going on with Joey. Joey has gotten involved in selling vapor and e-cigs. This leads to a great discussion about the business of Vapor and its recent popularity in the past couple years. They also discuss the inherent risks that has been talked about regarding health and what is and isnt known.
Then Mark and Bobby go toe to toe once again on religion. Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty once again put his foot in his mouth regarding atheism and how those people that follow atheism need to have their heads cut off and raped. Horrible as it is, Mark lays into Phil and this leads to a discussion about the bible and when things were written in context to what people believe. Very interesting discussion.
FInally the guys talk about some letters from the listeners and specifically about one from a father that is unhappy with how sports in general is looked at as a way to build character in children. Bobby thinks the father is way off in his assessment and decides to call out the pussification of Merica, while Mark plays devils advocate and tries to get to the real reason that Bobby is unhappy.
For the first time since their show together for the FOX affiliate in St. Louis, Mark, Matt K. and Andy E. are back together behind the microphone to take on the biggest stories (and kinda interesting ones) of the week.
With many a person working two jobs in the USA, the US Gov has decided to potentially raise the minimum wage. This has irritated the conservative businessmen of America and they are out in full force against the raise in pay. So our esteemed panel of hosts and guests will talk about the plan increase and what it means to all the hardworking people of the country.
Then, fresh off the heels of the Trayvon Martin case in Florida, a Missouri man decides to put property rights and defending yourself to the test as he shoots and kills a man for peeing on his property during a break on a float trip on the Meremec River. Was the man in his rights to defend his property or was this a case of mistaken machismo that went wrong. Two Conservatives and a Moderate/Liberal will discuss and break down all the angles for you.
Also, our favorite angry homosexual movie critic decides to bring the thunder on Pacific Rim and Warm Bodies. So where does Bill stand on these precious gems from Hollywood...tune in a listen to him take a couple shots at the works of art.
With Great Power, does come responsibility that some people are just not willing to take up. Such is a case with a nurse in California who lets a patient die because company policy and red tape (read as CONTRACTS) do not allow them to perform such task. Mark and Justing start the show off with a BANG discussing the rights and wrongs of this horrible situation. But then, COMIC CON is coming to St. Louis and The Q was incredibly excited to grab Jerry Milani to discuss some of the finer aspects of comic conventions and what to expect from the St. Louis one coming March 22-24th.
We also welcome Robb Davis to talk a little sports, but are overcome to find out how interested he was in discussing the death of William Moody (aka Paul Bearer) from the WWE. When we forgot to mention it in the sports segment, Robb goes out of his way to call back in and have us report on the famed wrestling managers career. Which, of course, leads to a discussion about favorite moments in Wrestling and everything else.
Plus don't forget that there is a little extra content in the OVERTIME, exclusive to the web show!
This is one ACTION PACKED episode of St. Louis greatest Moderate/Liberal radio export....The Q! Mark starts the show off discussing his winning of a Riverfront Times Web Award for 2013. After that, he is joined by his station general manager and reputed Conservative Steve Kaspar of Westplex Broadcasting to discuss the finer differences between Cons and Libs. After that it is off to the sports side with Robb Davis, the CBG (cracker behind the glass), to discuss Stan Musial's passing and SuperBOWL! Then we finish it all out with a special (yearly) visit from Tone Cabral of Ace Films to discuss his trip and time out at the Sundance Film Festival and what to look out for. All this fun and nowhere to run...taking talk radio and turning it up to 11! That's what we do!
HE'S BACKKKKKKKK!!!!!!! Mark's former MMA co-host and always controversial individual Andy Echele jumps in for Justin and fireworks eventually ensue. First off the guys make a run to the sports side of the world to catch up with the CBG (cracker behind the glass) Robb Davis to discuss Alabama winning the BCS Championship game, Hockey making its triumphant return (blah!) and the snubbing of great Baseball players in regards to the Hall of Fame 2013. Then Mark and Andy jump into their old forms to talk a little MMA and the current status of it in 2013, mind you Andy ain't having it DANA WHITE. After all that settles, Andy and Mark graciously discuss the Pussification of the USA via gun laws and everything that Andy can find to throw at the idea. Also the two gents break down some listener emails where a question regarding weird or horrifying happenings from the past jogs Andy's memory on a very graphic situation a "cop friend" once told him about. Its a story to not be missed.
So all that and much more awaits you on the next episode of THE Q....Taking talk radio and turning it up to 11!
On this episode of the Q, Mark has been trying for 2 years to get anyone from Breitbart.com on his show to talk politics. Well finally, one of them (and at this point, still the only one) decided to grace the Q listners with their style...That man is KURT SCHLICHTER. Mr. Schlichter is a noted contributor to the conservative think tank called Breitbart.com and Townhall.com. He is also a soon to be three time author and 2 time #1 Amazon.com best seller. And this show doesn't disappoint. Mark, Justin and Kurt go back and forth on many subjects. But did our guys get Mr. Schlichter to say that he took something in a moderate stance (GASP!). You'll have to listen to find out. And by the way....HE'S NOT REASONABLE!
Also, Robb Davis jumps on the show to talk about sports including Manny Pacquiao, the Dodgers and much more. All this for the low low price of FREE! It's the Q, Real Radio...Real Honest!
Fiscal cliff ahead! On this episode of the Q, Mark is joined by the "Cracker behind the Glass" Robb Davis to break down the crazy story of Jovan Belcher and his KC Chiefs suicide situation. Also the two delve into boxing and MMA...they discuss Hockey and where it sits, plus Mark puts in his two cents on what sport he feels is tougher than Baseball! But after all that hub bub, Mark discusses the FISCAL CLIFF and whether we should be worried or not. Plus a letter from the listener to finish it all up like the christmas present that it is! Its all on this edition of The Q...taking talk radio and turning it up to 11!
After the most exciting start to any Q show in the history of the program, Mark and Justin delve into a discussion, or Mark's observation, that Barack Obama falls into that so tender and lofty position of HISTORICAL FIGURE (Conservative heads are spinning on that one). Also, Justin (being the new NEWS guy for the show)brings up the death of Larry Hagman and starts a discussion of the most watched TV programs in history. Whats on the list, listen to find out.
Also, Robb Davis once again joins the foray to bring the weekly sports talk to a head and the two discuss that yearly MLB Hall of Fame balloting and who should be included...or not.
All this and a return of the LETTERS FROM THE LISTNERS! Its the Q...Real Radio, Real Honest!
