On this episode of the Q, you gotta strap in (on) cause we are gonna get sexual in nature. Professional counselor and sex therapist Lindsay Walden joins the guys for a romp through the world of mental disorders, sexual orientation and a little fun.
Walden is originally from Louisiana but has setup shop in the St. Louis area with her website and practice, Lindsaywalden.com . Lindsay discusses with Mark, Dan and Producer Bobby about the different names for sexual orientation and how valid they are in our culture today.
Also, the guys discuss the situation in Philadelphia where a Ku Klux Clan member is stripped of his neighborhood watch title because of his affiliation with the nefarious group as a Grand Dragon. This sends Mark and Dan on a discussion of whether the US military veteran deserved the decision and how he would react to a counselling session with Lindsay Walden. Hillarity ensues and Lindsay gets to the crux of his "issues".
Also Mark discusses the way police and public pools choose how and who they want to reprimand versus the common rules that they are supposed to play by on a day to day basis. And a major discussion of peanut allergies and their over the top application to everything now is really just a bunch of BS.
Finally in Overtime, Lindsay decides (upon his request), to give our Dan Walsh a little analysis of his problems with women and whether they are superficial or not. Download and hear what she says.

Fast food places have a penchant for putting vegetables on their burgers...unfortunately, Mark is here to save the day regarding whether or not this is a practice that needs to be handled in this way, especially lettuce. Find out where you stand on this priority of national importance!
Next, Barack Obama has been getting blindsided by former secretary Donald Rumsfeld when "Donny" starts complaing about the Afghan wars and how the POTUS and his white house administration handled them. This leads to a war of words between Mark and Dan Walsh (being a former military man). Does Barack deserve the lashing that everyone gives him....the team discusses.
Then Producer Bobby brings up a local St. Louis story about a principal at an elementary school that oversteps their bounds in everyones opinion when handling policy with a parent of an autistic child. Needless to say the police get involved and Mark thinks its just a power play by people that are constantly trying to insert their will and force on others for no reason. Take a listen and see if you think that the school, police or Mark is in the right on this situation.

On this episode of the show, Mark Bland , Producer Bobby and Dan Walsh take on the mystery that is the missing Malaysian Flight 370. They discuss what might have been the cause of the flight going missing and before you know it they are discussing conspiracy theories and the origins of them. Why they come to fruition and some of the ideas the three guys guy's believe have led to the formulation and beliefs in the heads of the creators.
But then its back to reality and Mark is on the warpath to explain to people in this this world that they should focus on what they know best and not discuss things they are not up-to-date and researched on. Mark's basis for argument is that a lot of people are on social media discussing Russian and the Ukraine, yet they are completely blind to the backgrounds and reasons why these things are happening....BUT THAT DOESN'T STOP THEM FROM TALKING LIKE THEY ARE PART OF THE SITUATION DIRECTLY! Mark feels that people should only take stances on things they are well versed in information. What do the other guys feel about this and do you agree?
Finally , a story hits the show every so often that makes everyone on it take a step back. Well that's what Dan does when provided with the hypothetical marriage/relationship with a snake handling Pentecostal woman. Also a Senator wants to provide a bill in his state that makes it okay for businesses to discriminate based on anything. Should businesses be allowed to to do this? Time for the Q and this week Mark is joined by writer and sportscaster Ron Clements who comes in a on whirlwind of a news week.
First up is the discussion nationally about the Rodeo at the Missouri State Fair where a rodeo clown decides to put on a Obama mask as the announcer prods the audience into "seeing the president get run over by a BULL!" Needless to say this delves the nation back into the somewhat racial debate of people not liking Obama cause of "some reasons". The men discuss and figure out where the line should have been drawn and whether this is worthy.
Then the two switch gears and start discussing the their favorite TV shows a their love affair with Breaking Bad now that the series is coming to a conclusion. Not giving up anything but heavily discussing the past seasons as well as some shows that the two should each check out including new NETFLIX only series.
Finally its time for a discussion about a man that finds himself is a horrible predicament when he mistake his house for another spot that might turn out bad. All this and much more on the newest episode of the Q!
Podcasters everywhere! On this return from hiatus, Mark invites the guys from Wheel Barrow Full of Dicks to come on his show and join the weekly jaunt into the world of current events and politics (though this episode is sparse on Poli-Sci). He also put the vibe out to Matt Krueger to jump in and the men were off on an exciting adventure.
Mike and Nappier from WFOD start off explaining that they love being in the presence of "THE" Mark Bland (making sure that he adds the "THE") but before long Mark tackles a piece of ranting that he has fondness for...Podcasting vs. Broadcasting . But the conversation takes a weird turn when Mark starts to rant on a food choice that a co-host of WFOD has made when going to Jack in the Box.
From there the men tackle another couple news stories including the severe beating a 13 yr old took at the hands of some kids in Florida and the bus driver just sat there. Also there is a update in the Meremec River Shooting case and the dunking canoers might not have been so docile as they let on they were in the original stories. Ramping up the arguement for self defense and property rights that much more.
Then it is on to the next Tournament of Pop Culture! This time around on the 16-team elimination tournament, the BEST SUSUPENSE MOVIE of ALL TIME is tackled. Who made the list and who got cut? And will one of the contestants chime in for a unprecidented 3rd TOPC win over the past 3 years. Its never been done and this is definitely a powerhouse of a suspense movie. Find out if your favorite made the cut!
Taking talk radio and turning it up to 11! Its THE Q!
For the first time since their show together for the FOX affiliate in St. Louis, Mark, Matt K. and Andy E. are back together behind the microphone to take on the biggest stories (and kinda interesting ones) of the week.
With many a person working two jobs in the USA, the US Gov has decided to potentially raise the minimum wage. This has irritated the conservative businessmen of America and they are out in full force against the raise in pay. So our esteemed panel of hosts and guests will talk about the plan increase and what it means to all the hardworking people of the country.
Then, fresh off the heels of the Trayvon Martin case in Florida, a Missouri man decides to put property rights and defending yourself to the test as he shoots and kills a man for peeing on his property during a break on a float trip on the Meremec River. Was the man in his rights to defend his property or was this a case of mistaken machismo that went wrong. Two Conservatives and a Moderate/Liberal will discuss and break down all the angles for you.
Also, our favorite angry homosexual movie critic decides to bring the thunder on Pacific Rim and Warm Bodies. So where does Bill stand on these precious gems from Hollywood...tune in a listen to him take a couple shots at the works of art.
Well another show dawns on us and we grab Tony Kozina and Jeremy Bailey to jump on the old train for our weekly jaunt through life. After being silent on it for over a week (cause unlike conservatives, we try to wait until more facts are in about a specific topic or "conspiracy") Mark and the boys dive head first into the NSA surveillence situation. Discussing the "who's and what's" of whether the PATRIOT ACT is a good or bad thing (The LIBS tried tellign Bush it was a bad thing when he passed it during his presidency)....and all the good stuff associated with you losing your freedoms of privacy to keep you a littel safer.
Then the gears get switched when the men bring on Grae Drake from Rotten Tomatoes to discuss the huge movies of the summer and what is not being talked about. Grae answers a past show question and they all discuss the validity of M. Night Shyamalan as a director...and Mark beats Grae to the punch and teaches her something about a certain movie she didn't even realize. Definitely a heads up for great stuff coming out.
And finally the lover doctors are back as Tony Kozina decides to help out a young lady with a relationship problem and they all realize really fast that Tony truly is the love doctor or extremely versed in horrible relationships.
On this episode of The Q. Mark and Jeremy decide to fly the whole show by themselves discussing everything from what its like to be in the NAVY as well as the two guys horrible weeks. Car crashes and thunderstorms plagued the Midwest and these two were square in the middle of it as Tornadoes took out Mark's power and a wreck (without air bags deploying) almost took out Jeremy.
And the ranting doesn't stop there cause a Scripps National Spelling Bee champion was crowned and Mark doesn't like their introvert styles. Then it becomes a show about Hitlers when they talk about a Father of the Year candidate trying to get his custody rights back and a problem that JC Penny's is currently dealing with.
At this point Mark starts to take some Letters from the Listeners and one question in particular puts the show over the edge when Jeremy starts divulging a story from his military past. And a discussion regarding the recession puts Mark over the edge as he tries to explain how far we are from the economy being good again for the middle class and lower people.
Taking talk radio and turning it up to 11....its THE Q!
Mark had to quiet the nattering nabob that was Justing Deming from a past Overtime show where the two argued about the 1st amendment of the constitution and separation of church and state. So to put a nail in the coffin once and for all, Mark called to talk with Constituional Attorney BRIAN VANYO to answer some of the questions that popped up in the best Overtime Episode EVER!
After that, Mark, Jeremy, Greg T and Joe Licious settle in for three segments discussing intenet meme fame and how it can be deadly. Facebook and how people interact relationship wise on the show. A little about the past and how this generation is different through communication than prior ones, and then....
The guys get into a discussion about Toronto Mayor Rob Ford and how there is an Indiegogo page setup in the attempt to get money together to pay off a guy to release a video of the Mayor smoking crack. Its extortion with no winners and guy that has no recourse...especially when 10,000 people are donating money to watch him get his ass handed to him. Is this right, or proper. Should the intentions be as clear as they are? And will this lead to a new style of paparrazi or extortion for the coming years... We discuss it all!
