Race relations are huge topic on the minds of everyone in the US during these two volatile weeks in Ferguson, MO after the shooting death of a young man by a police officer. But that's where all the other media outlets stop and The Q starts.
After watching hours of Town Hall meetings and Black/White race relations programming on news channels throughout the country trying to capitalize on the popularity of a sad story....Mark Bland has decided that ENOUGH WEAK DISCUSSIONS IS ENOUGH. The world is not going to get anywhere until the people can be blatantly honest with each other when discussing the topic of black/white relations in the US since Civil Rights. So he put a call into two of his friends to come on the show and discuss not only race relations, but to also take up the flag of defense for 2 hours and defend the black culture. First Mark is joined by Corey "Slo-Down" Edwards a former member famed music group The St. Lunatics. Coming from the rough streets of Wellston,MO to touring the world and eating the best foods available, Corey has done it all and seen what its like to be pushed around and then have those same people want your autograph.
Next Mark is joined by Darryl Frierson, the host of Straight Outta Lo Cash and a civil activist. When it comes to discussing Black and White opinions, Mark and Darryl have gone round and round on both his show and The Q discussing these things. Darryl is extremely opinionated and has spent a majority of the time, as well as Slo-Down, down in the Ferguson area during the protests of the past few weeks.
This show is NOT AN EASY LISTEN. Parental Discretion is advised. There are very adult oriented subjects on this show and no punches are pulled. These men are here to discuss on behalf their cultures the true crux of the issue between the two races. Prejudices are on the surface and the discussion is very deep and pointed. Please do not go into this show lightly.

On this special episode, Mark and Bobby break show protocol to take on the topic of Addiction. After dealing with his own addiction, Producer Bobby thought it would be good to get a panel of guests at varying levels of addiction to discuss all aspects of being an addict and cleaning up.
First up is Dr. Adi Jaffe of Alternatives Addiction Center in Los Angeles, CA. Adi Jaffe, Ph.D. is a Los Angeles addiction psychologist and researcher. Himself a former drug addict and convicted drug dealer, Dr. Jaffe is an expert on substance abuse, especially on the neuroscience and policy issues involved. Today, he is a UCLA-affiliated researcher on addictions, founder of AllAboutAddiction.com and a columnist for Psychology Today. He joins to discuss the beginnings of addiction and what to look for.
Then Legendary morning radio host DC Chymes joins the show, along with Dr. Stegeman (practicing St. Charles medical doctor) to discuss Suboxone, a drug used to treat addiction for narcotics abuse. DC explains his personal struggles with OTC drug addiction during the height of his success and Dr. Stegeman casts some light on the prescribing of Suboxone and other drugs used to treat the worse parts of withdrawl.
Finally, Dan Walsh and gentleman named Rick and his significant other named Lisa join the show to talk about their sordid pasts dealing with Cocaine and Alcohol addiction. This is one of the best hours of radio we have ever put together. Listen as Rick describes his recent relapses and fighting with the demons. Big Bobby jumps back into the co-hosting seat for another jaunt into the MOD/LIB (swing voter) political world. And boy do the guys have a little bit to talk about.
Seems as though Barack Obama wants to take some missiles, point them at Syria and launch. This all comes on the heels of Syria deciding to use sarin gas against their own people (allegedly). Obama clearly drew the red line a year ago and now he is implementing that aspect and being a man of his word (something the Conservatives hate). Mark and Bobby decide to take on the entire Syria discussion and flush out whether this is a good idea or not. Will it lead to potential World War with Russia chomping at the bit behind the scenes? We will have to see.
Also, Bill Delaney joins the guys to discuss the list of movies coming out this fall and the fact that one of Hollywood's greatest legends is deciding to quietly hang up saddle and retire from acting.
Also there are letters from the Listeners and a strange story regarding a man and his need to use feces while sorting things out with his significant other. Plus Mark and Bobby delve into a discussion about their children and things parents should and shouldn't focus on as they get bigger. Including a couple stories about the first time their children ever got hurt (accidentally of course).
Taking talk radio and turning it up to 11, this is the Q!
For the first time since their show together for the FOX affiliate in St. Louis, Mark, Matt K. and Andy E. are back together behind the microphone to take on the biggest stories (and kinda interesting ones) of the week.
With many a person working two jobs in the USA, the US Gov has decided to potentially raise the minimum wage. This has irritated the conservative businessmen of America and they are out in full force against the raise in pay. So our esteemed panel of hosts and guests will talk about the plan increase and what it means to all the hardworking people of the country.
Then, fresh off the heels of the Trayvon Martin case in Florida, a Missouri man decides to put property rights and defending yourself to the test as he shoots and kills a man for peeing on his property during a break on a float trip on the Meremec River. Was the man in his rights to defend his property or was this a case of mistaken machismo that went wrong. Two Conservatives and a Moderate/Liberal will discuss and break down all the angles for you.
Also, our favorite angry homosexual movie critic decides to bring the thunder on Pacific Rim and Warm Bodies. So where does Bill stand on these precious gems from Hollywood...tune in a listen to him take a couple shots at the works of art.
On this episode of The Q. Mark and Jeremy decide to fly the whole show by themselves discussing everything from what its like to be in the NAVY as well as the two guys horrible weeks. Car crashes and thunderstorms plagued the Midwest and these two were square in the middle of it as Tornadoes took out Mark's power and a wreck (without air bags deploying) almost took out Jeremy.
And the ranting doesn't stop there cause a Scripps National Spelling Bee champion was crowned and Mark doesn't like their introvert styles. Then it becomes a show about Hitlers when they talk about a Father of the Year candidate trying to get his custody rights back and a problem that JC Penny's is currently dealing with.
At this point Mark starts to take some Letters from the Listeners and one question in particular puts the show over the edge when Jeremy starts divulging a story from his military past. And a discussion regarding the recession puts Mark over the edge as he tries to explain how far we are from the economy being good again for the middle class and lower people.
Taking talk radio and turning it up to 11....its THE Q!
Well the world is full of scumbags and douches and there are three men in the St. Louis, MO area ready to take on all of them. Two are your wonderful hosts Mark Bland and Justin Deming.... the other just happens to be KMOV (St. Louis CBS Affiliate) Investigative reporter Chris Nagus . The hometown kid made good, joins the guys to discuss coming up in the journalism business over the past decade and some of his more glorious trimphs of defeating idiots.
Then the guys are joined by none other than Jerome Cusson of PWPonderings.com to discuss the fallout of mass proportions on the heels of a twitter message goen crazy from ROH World Heavyweight Champ Jay Briscoe. It all comes from the Delaware House choosing to support Gay Marriage. Well lets say Mr. Briscoe went a little overboard in his thoughts and opinions. They talk in depth with Jerome to get to the bottom and figure out what should be done.
Plus there were three girls that were found in Cleveland this past week after 10 years of being kidnapped by some derranged men (Boston Bombing what???). They discuss the event and the unlikely hero Charles Ramsey.
Its time for the Q....taking talk radio and turning it up to 11! And don't miss the Overtime 121 cause it was the most hotly contested discussion that Mark and Justin ever get in to.
After the most exciting start to any Q show in the history of the program, Mark and Justin delve into a discussion, or Mark's observation, that Barack Obama falls into that so tender and lofty position of HISTORICAL FIGURE (Conservative heads are spinning on that one). Also, Justin (being the new NEWS guy for the show)brings up the death of Larry Hagman and starts a discussion of the most watched TV programs in history. Whats on the list, listen to find out.
Also, Robb Davis once again joins the foray to bring the weekly sports talk to a head and the two discuss that yearly MLB Hall of Fame balloting and who should be included...or not.
All this and a return of the LETTERS FROM THE LISTNERS! Its the Q...Real Radio, Real Honest!
It's ELECTION TIME and a few days before the BIG ONE for 2012, Mark invites in Paranormal Researcher and Conservative Adam Jackson to break down the view points of the Elections sides and the respective Candidates, all before giving their Last Ditch Attempts to sway your votes to their sides.
But before all that can happen, Mark decides he's gonna do some ranting. And he has no clue where he is going but he gonna just put it all out there. Calling out other STL media professionals and conservatives. It is quite the site to behold. But then, in a shocking twist, that has never happened before....our Conservative Adam throws us for a loop and LIES! NO WAY...find out why, how and how petty the lie. All this and much more on this edition of the Q. Taking talk radio and turning it up to 11!
