It is a sad time in the city of St. Louis and specifically a small section of the county called Ferguson where a young man's run in with the Ferguson police turned into a national story. Mike Brown was supposedly gunned down, unarmed, by a police officer and it set off outrage and rioting in the normally quiet STL suburb. The Q hails from STL and Mark the host is very closely related to the area in question cause that is where he and producer Bobby grew up in a neighboring city. With all that said, it was obvious that Mark, Bobby and Lucy were going to have to discuss this issue at length.
First up, Mark put in a call and got former St. Louis City Police Chief DAN ISOM to join the guys on the show and discuss what it is like to stand at the podium and handle a situation of this magnitude. Dan and the cast discuss the case of Michael Borwn, where it leads and what the potential outcomes are. Also they dive into the underlying problems with the lack of information coming out and how the public is viewing the Police departments at this time and whether that viewpoint is a correct way to view them. Plus the guys talk about race relations and the area of town where this is going on. A very in depth discussion on the show and worth every minute.
Finally....Tyler Crandall came on the show to discuss his new found success with the popularity of his "North County Song". Tyler joins the team to talk about his upbringing in North County (the county where Ferguson in located during this situation), what he likes and doesn't and to play the song live accoustically. And he finds a way to make peace with Producer Bobby who is not happy and tell everyone a story that is painful to hear.
All this and much more on the Q....Real Radio, REAL HONEST! And don't forget overtime after the credits roll for some more fun.
*There is choppy audio in the first 20 minute segment. It is annoying but not impossible to listen to.

On this episode of The Q, Mark and Bobby are joined by the cast of Bare Knuckle Comedy troupe out of St. Louis. Sherman Doyle and Christian jump in to talk about the ACA and what life was like growing up in the 1990's before DVR's existed and you had to watch OJ Simpson running away from police live on the TV or you missed it.
Also Mark is at it again with a rant about other radio shows and how they try to portray themselves as multiple things. Of course this leads to a more general discussion about how people do this on a day to day in music and entertainment claiming they are "artists" but they really are only doing it as a hobby.
Finally the men get around to discussing the beginnings to the BKC and there success till now. A little about their upcoming shows and their opinions of the best comedians in the STL area. All this and BNN with Producer Bobby, another installment of GAME ON/GAME OFF and some letters from the listeners. Plus another 45 mins of unaired fun with the guys during the OVVERTIME section after the main show that you get in the download. And all this for FREE! You can't beat that. Enjoy!
Well when the powers that be decide that its okay to have a BLACK ONLY historical college, Mark and Justin discuss the ability for a WHITE ONLY college or school is an option. And all this because a fan decided to write a question that they thought would be good to ask...sheesh!
But before they get there, Mark and Justin welcome SAL WOODS on to the show to discuss his upcoming MMA Match for the MMA Federation in St. Louis on June 22nd.
Also, the guys welcome Bill Delaney again to talk about the new Star Trek: Into the Darkness movie that he just watched. Mark is excited to hear about this, but they never quite get there since the talk turns to remakes and re-imaginings in Hollywood. They guys all talk abou their favorite and least favorite remakes of all time. So do you think yours was mentioned...listen and find out.
Real Radio, Real Honest.....its the Q! Taking talk radio and turning it up to 11!
On this episode titled "Fallout", that is exactly what we are dealing with. Jeremy comes back on the show a week after his legendary one-on-one with Travis Cook to discuss the amounts of hate mail the show received (all from angry Conservatives that like "Hanging that POTUS from the HIGHEST TREE possible") after Travis' somewhat veiled racist comments at the end of the debate. Also, Justin has some things to get off his chest regarding the Boston Marathon Bombings, so he discusses the fallout of that too. But eventually all bets are off as we all discuss the potential rights/wrongs of smoking bans and why company's have to buy liquor licensing and things like that.
Its a raucous episode of the Q and the OVERTIME doesn't dissappoint as the gentlemen do a few more minutes discussing the top 3 movies for them respectively in the 1990's and 1980's.
LADIES AND GENTLEMAN...Lets get ready to Rumble! On this episode of the show, Jeremy Bailey and Travis Cook square off in the First of what will become a set of discussions about many debate-able topics. After going toe to toe online through social media, Mark's favorite Tea Party guy and military veteran will take on current events and topics with differing viewpoints. Travis had one condition that made Mark bite the bullet: I will leave immediately and storm out of the room if I am interrupted AT ALL. That's all. Well did it happen? Did Travis make it to the end of the debate or was this doomed from the start. Find out on this latest episode of The Q....real radio, real honest!
NORTH KOREA wants to kill you and your family...and Mark Bland is here is to play devils advocate and question everyone else's dislike for the "hermit kingdom" including our own Justin Deming . Then Mark and Justin discuss the case of a student that tries to help his dad kick the habit and uses a unique way to get it done.
After arousing round of North Korea "ain't that bad after all"....Mark and Justin switch gears and are joined by Mr. AceFilms himself Anthony Cabral to discuss the Oscars, the big win for DDL in Abraham Lincoln "Vampire Hunter" and eventually a discussion on where this years Oscar fell on a 1-10 scale.
And finally, Mark pulls back the 4th wall and decide to discuss some listener hate mail that was, lets just say...extremely and overwhelmingly negative and coarse in its language. We couldn't even let this stay on the main show, we needed the uncensored aspect of the OVERTIME show to voice our opinions properly.
It was supposed to run smooth and everything was supposed to line up, BUT IT DIDN'T! Needless to say on this episode of The Q, Mark traverses through some rough waters to bring you an interview with noted local conservative Travis Cook to discuss the current status of the Presidential race as we lead into the November elections! Also Mark finds out that more than one person gets sanfu'ed by the website "THE ONION" and there is a website you can goto to find out about your political leanings...its called Isidewith.com and it helps you pick the best candidate for you based off your opinions and thoughts. Try it out and hit us back to let us know where you stand.
