400 episodes are a lot of episodes when you realize many are at minimum 1 hour long and most are 3 hours in total. That's a lot of blood, sweat and tears that went into all of those hours of entertainment. But alas, we are here and number 400 is what we are on!
Agitate the Airwaves host Travis Corley joins Mark Bland, Jason Kull, Jonathan May and Producer Bobby on this special episode of the Q. Travis has been hosting a local music podcast for a few years now and he is starting to bridge off into other avenues of entertainment like booking shows. Travis joins Mark and the crew on this episode to discuss his show, it's influence and what he's got coming up in the near future for the people of STL.
Trump has done it again and saying really weird off the wall type stuff. He explained about not being able to say Orange and he claims his father was born in Germany and not Brooklyn, NY. So just another week in Trump's weird presidency that does nothing.
Mark brings up some past moments on the show that he fondly remembers along with adding a new one to the list from more recent episodes. Somewhere in the middle of this, Jonathan MAy inserts he has a big package and the show never looks back. Mark does everything to keep the train on the tracks, but hilarity ensues.
All this and much more on this 400th Special Episode of the Q! Worth every second to listen to.
So the year of 2015 starts off on a sobering note. Stuart Scott, the great sportsanchor of ESPN, passes away from cancer at the age of 49. So Andy Echele jumps onto the show to discuss this. The guys discuss what Stuart Scott meant to them and how the world of ESPN styled sportscasting goes. Including Andy breaking out his old school phrase he used for Combat Showcase.
Next Mark goes on one of his famous rants about Walmart and the inability of our society to learn from simple things and act accordingly. Evidently they don't ptu enough energy drinks of a certain style in the local Walmart cooler cases and this sends Mark on a tirade about the cooler cases and other places/situations that no one thinks about until after the fact.
Finally the crew gets into a discussion about how Mark is noticing more people since the Ferguson riots complaining about "White Privilege" and what it means to three white people who could potentially be accused of it at moments notice. Also, Mark discusses his some of his stereotype pet peeves and who should, or shouldn't, be allowed to do certain things. This brings out everyone throwing their issues about many people out in the open. So sit back, turn on the laptop, bring up your spreadsheet and listen to the newest epsisode of The Q.
Former Gambino crime family member and reformed gangster Louis Ferrante decides to join Mark, Matt Krueger and Producer Bobby on this weeks edition of the Q. With years of jail time under his belt and a penchant for the truth, Louis joins the guys to talk about his new Discovery Channel show called "Inside the Gangsters Code". Louis discusses working with John Gotti, the feeling he had when finding out about the movie Goodfellas coming out and who he found to be very serious during the filming for the TV show. Definitely one of the interesting and entertaining interviews ever on the Q.
Next DC Chymes joins the crew to discuss a story that was released regarding a drug manufacturer that used ever excuse in the book to not help a sick child attain a medicine they control that could save his life. But how did we as a society get to this point? Why is it okay to not be humane to other human's when dealing with life threatening injuries and sicknesses. DC brings up the big business that is drug manufacturing and how it affects many people just beyond those getting/not getting the medicines. A very eye opening discussion for anyone out there.
Finally, Mark goes on a rant about how gas prices are jumping up again and its probably the fault of the money player conservatives that are setting up for 2014 election primaries to get the juices flowing against the democrats and that BARACK OBAMA! MERICA! This amps up Matt who wants to discuss the president and how eventually he will be viewed down the road. The gentlemen go back and forth with interesting points of views regarding how people should feel about presidents during their lives.
All this plus Game On/Game Off and Overtime! Its time for the Q!
