Mark Bland, Brandon Travis and Producer Bobby have to join us on this amazing episode of the Q.
Fresh off the heels of two mass shootings, Mark and the guys decide to discuss the entire situation in glorious detail. Mark discusses the amount of preparation the shooters went into setting up their deadly massacre's. Two incredibly different shootings with differing purposes, but both claim that politics and our discourse as a nation fueled their rage. Whether it was disenchantment with the system in Dayton, Ohio...or it was fueled by bigotry and xenophobia in El Paso, TX....both area's are reeling from the damage done by the two ignorant and jerk shooters. This leads to the main discussion of if Trump bares any responsibility in these shootings because of his attitude and words he's used to play to his fan base.
This leads into Bobby giving some of his beliefs live on the show and discussing them with Brandon and Mark. First up, Abortion. Bobby gives his stance on abortion and everyone gets into talking about how long you as a parent should have to til you are stuck with raising the baby. Next up was GUNS. Producer Bobby believes that guns are important to protecting yourself in the USA. This leads to discussion about confiscating guns. In russia, they only shoot rubber bullets.
Finally, it seems the boy scouts are not such good guys after all. New documents presented in court this past week show that the boy scouts, similar to the catholic churches they hold meetings at, have been holding back the names of hundreds of leaders over the years that were caught molesting children. This is a travesty of mass proportions and also opened up some memories from my past with boy scouts and my stories about thinking leaders were creepy.
It's an exciting week on this episode of the Q!
Well the conservatives are on the abortion train again and the Q is paying attention. It seems that a few states decided to go through (outta the blue) with more stringent abortion bans in their state legislatures. More men telling women how and what they should do with their PRIVATE PARTS. Well this shouldn't sit well with many and Brandon Travis makes his long awaited return to the show to discuss this and many other things.
Brandon has been away for a while, serving time for his transgressions in life. Mark and Brandon start off talking about Trump and his need to start Wars with Iran for no reason. But that point Brandon asks the most important question...why is Trump doing this? Mark has an answer for him, see if you agree.
Brandon and Mark then get into talking about Brandon's time away and how he handled the pressure. He was sent to the hole for a few weeks and Mark wants to know how that affects the mind of a man stuck in that situation. This leads to Brandon discussing the reasons for why he got into the trouble and along with it comes the stories of fighting to survive in a hell hole. Brandon talks about the fights he was in and why he followed through.
Finally Mark and Brandon discuss some letters from the listeners. One person specifically brings up the idea of COSPLAY and how we view it as dressing up like Halloween. But we should be allowed to be any race and dress as another to pay homage. So should costumes that are inherently non judgmental or non-racist (nefarious purpose)be allowed? The men discuss.
Enjoy this episode of the Q...Hopefully it opens your mind and makes you think.
Did you know that the pilgrims are technically the founding fathers of our nation and not the dudes from the Revolutionary War that we love to put on our money and hold to the highest regard?
Well the guys discuss this and much more on this new episode of the Q. Jason Kull is back and not happy about Trump calling for more randomly ridiculous "National Emergencies"...but the fun doesn't stop there because Mark invited a friend he grew up with named Steve Richards to show. Steve has been listening for years and stated that he wanted to come guest on the show, so Mark made it happen.
First, Mark and the gents discuss the new national emergencies Trump has been lining to be the boy who cried wolf. None of them are gonna pan out but it won't stop other crazier things from happening. All of this leads to a discussion about the Salem Witch trials and how one of the states has decided to setup new rules making abortion a punishable crime. The guys talk about going through with this and how it would be received here in the USA and across the globe. Also, would sentencing someone to death for having an abortion become the new Salem Witch trials? All this culminates with some talk on the death penalty and where we are at with it mentally in 2019.
Mark then moves on to the Hot Seat since Richards is a new guest to the show. 5 Questions, all random and some discussion is in store. And then Finally, we take some questions from the listeners. Should "retarded" be considered a bad word? Is it already? This and so much more is bantered about on this new episode of the Q!

Mark Bland, Jason Kull, Producer Bobby and Board op John are joined by special guest Alex Elias as they make the debut of the Q on 1190 AM The Patriot in St. Louis. First up is the general discussion about the latest movements in the Trump transition and how they don't look like its going to be a smooth trip.
Next Mark touches on the way we as people, if you are unhappy with trump being President, should view and handle news stories from here on out. Do we need to discuss everything that the man does? Does it take away his luster if we choose to ignore? That and many other questions pop up.
Finally the team focuses on how their zodiac signs attract people to them and a discussion about a lady, a guy and their unborn baby. The team is divided on whether the man in the relationship should have as much power and say in the relationship to do what he did. And what did he do??? Well you have to listen to the Q and find out!

Producer Bobby and Mark Bland fly solo on this show. Mark is having a week and it shows in the conversation with the on again/off again Producer Bobby. First up Mark and Bobby discuss the biggest story in the USA currently which is Donald Trump explaining that it is alright for women to be punished for having an abortion. Of course, this set off the entire country pitting liberals and conservatives that defend Trump at each others throats. And it wasn't pretty at all. Producer Bobby explains how he feels that Trump is technically right and Mark tries to hone in on what Bobby wants done to fix the issue.
Mark then decides to explain how ABC and other major networks could capitolize heavily on the crop of well known internet based/youtube based talents and their fanbases. Mark was watching his daughter watch this guy that plays Minecraft to the tune of millions of fans and it got him thinking about all the other people on online that have huge fanbases and could benefit from and to major media conglomerates and their current power fanbases that exist.
Finally, Mark and Bobby come across a new social media app called PEEPLE which touts itself as the "YELP for everyday people" . People would join the network and be able to rate people on their personal opinion of the people, just like you do on yelp for a restaurant. Mark and Bobby delve into the dark underbelly of what this could mean and how it could go horribly wrong. Plus they discuss what things the company who created is already doing to combat some of those consequesnces.

What a busy week in news! Paul Huddleston the St. Louis radio veteran joins us again for a discussion on the big story of the week. Evidently a dentist named Walter is an avid hunting fan of big game. So he paid some hunting guides to take him to Zimbabwe and help him hunt a lion. Well, thats where things go sideways because the lion that eventually gets killed is named Cecil and he's super protected and well known. So of course this opens up the ethical premise of hunting internationally so Mark, Producer Bobby and Paul discuss.
Next up, the wierd controvesy of the week happens to be a fabricated and spliced video of Planned Parenthood attempting to sell fetuses on the black market. Well that wasn't the total truth and once the full video comes out, it becomes fodder for Mark to go on to one of his rants about the consevrative movement and their need to spin things. This becomes a point for Mark to discuss with Paul and Bobby about their feelings on the stories and everything they touch.
Finally the guys are presented with some really interesting letters from the listeners that lead to everyone divulging some of their thoughts on polygamy and mutiple partners. A hell of a way to end the show!
