On this AMAZING episode of the Q, the St. Louis Radio Morning show legend DC Chymes decides to stop by and discuss the "Steve and DC: Morning Show" in its hey day! From top to bottom, including some behind the scenes stuff no one has talked about or ever discussed on the radio. From some of his favorite characters on the show, to some of their most talked about Halloween Episodes, DC delivers it all. If you haven't heard the show in a while and wondered what happened to those guys after almost 2 decades of hosting mornings in STL, then this is the interview you don't wanna miss.
Then Mark decides, with Justin Deming's urging, to rant about whats on his mind. Well the RFT 2013 Best AM radio personality award is on his mind and he doesn't understand how he got shafted. He congratulates Frank O. Pinion on wining the award (cause he is honestly a big fan), but lets the STL newspaper know just how wrong they were.
Finally former NWA World Champion, Scrap Iron Adam Pearce joins the guys on the show to discuss his new DVD "7 Levels of Hate"! The Documentary chronicles the 7 match series across the USA between Adam and Colt Cabana in the world of independent wrestling. The back story to how the events were set up, some of the executives that were involved and all the politics that go in to creating professional wrestling. It is a great documentary and Mark/Justin discuss the documentary and some of the less talked about things behind the scenes of Adam Pearces career, including the day he sent the NWA belt back to the executives.
This is the Q! Real Radio, Real Honest!
Matthew Krueger decides to jump in and work out a great show with Mark and Producer Bobby as the men talk about Politics to start off. Matt wonders why LEFT and RIGHT wing are designated that way as Mark tries to help him understand. This leads to discussion about a disagreement on Facebook that Mark and Matt had regarding politics and the situation with everyone throwing a fit about the new Miss America being of Indian descent.
Then with Halloween being the next major holiday to pop up for our nation, it seems as some people got a stick up their butts about a Walmart Halloween prop that seems to emulate animal cruelty....what is our country coming to! Mark and Matt then Wax poetic about their time working together at a Spirit Halloween store and how Matt would scare the bejezus out of people while dressed as Freddy!
Mark then gets serious for bit discussing some new rules that senator Diane Feinstein is trying put in place regarding journalism and media in the US. Its called the Media Shield Law and its purpose is to set the parameters in some sort of fashion regarding real journalism and hobbyist. Something Mark has talked about on his show many times, but never to the extent that this law is about to be imposed. Everyone has an opinion on this and its interesting to hear to say the least.
Then in a final topic swing, everyone tries to tackle the new California minimum wage decision to raise the minimum wage to the highest in the USA. All having come from various backgrounds in life, everyone has their own ideas of whether this is a good or bad idea. And then of course it's time for Letters and Questions from the Listeners.
Its time for the Q....taking talk radio and turning it up to 11!
Its another swing around the old Pro-Wrestling game again for Mark and his guest Jovan Bibbs! The two men, along with producer Bobby, welcome Impact Wrestling Superstar AUSTIN ARIES to the Q to discuss his career inside and outside the ring. Discussing Austin's eventual plans after the wrestling business to hopefully break into the music business. Plus a little tug of war trying to get Austin to discuss potentially winning a title in another company and the unique answer he gives to that plight. Plus the men talk about their favorite tag teams growing up and memorable moments from their wrestling childhoods.
Then it is full stream ahead with The Q. Syria decides in a weird turn of events to just turn over Sarin gas weapons to Russia after a couple weeks of the USA explaining that they are thinking of a military strike. Then a discussion on a new show making some noise on the boob tube called "Under the Dome" and a chit chat about Jovan, Mark and Bobby's favorite TV shows ensues, including a show called Doomsday Preppers..
Mark and Jovan talk about playing in a charity basketball a few months back and how Mark completely dominated the competition (sigh). Finally they talk about Jovan's career as a comic and some of the perils of being in the comedy business. Also, some discussions on questions that white people have for black people and vice versa. Throw in a smidge of Letters and questions from the listeners and you have yourself an action paced show. Sit back and enjoy the new episode of The Q!
Big Bobby jumps back into the co-hosting seat for another jaunt into the MOD/LIB (swing voter) political world. And boy do the guys have a little bit to talk about.
Seems as though Barack Obama wants to take some missiles, point them at Syria and launch. This all comes on the heels of Syria deciding to use sarin gas against their own people (allegedly). Obama clearly drew the red line a year ago and now he is implementing that aspect and being a man of his word (something the Conservatives hate). Mark and Bobby decide to take on the entire Syria discussion and flush out whether this is a good idea or not. Will it lead to potential World War with Russia chomping at the bit behind the scenes? We will have to see.
Also, Bill Delaney joins the guys to discuss the list of movies coming out this fall and the fact that one of Hollywood's greatest legends is deciding to quietly hang up saddle and retire from acting.
Also there are letters from the Listeners and a strange story regarding a man and his need to use feces while sorting things out with his significant other. Plus Mark and Bobby delve into a discussion about their children and things parents should and shouldn't focus on as they get bigger. Including a couple stories about the first time their children ever got hurt (accidentally of course).
Taking talk radio and turning it up to 11, this is the Q!
Where MSNBC, CNN and many others have failed, the Q delivers. The man that got outted to the national public in the middle of a Missouri Rodeo ring, joins the guys live on this edition of the Q. Tuffy Gessling of the famous rodeo incident with the Obama mask, jumps onto the The Q to answer the tough questions surrounding that day and what/why it happened.
Anthony Cabral, Justin Deming and the return of "PrimeTIme with Mark and Tone" veteran intern Little Bobby jump on for a rollercoaster ride that includes a discussion on why Mark doesn't feel Conservatives should debate/discuss things with him. Also, Tone and Justin get into a great discussion about the decision to have Ben Affleck play Batman in the new "Batman vs. Superman" movie slated to come out in 2015. This leads to a discussion on reboots and whether they are good or bad for the industry and Mark can't seem to get over the name Lex Luger/Luthor.
Finally the guys get to look into some letters from the listeners regarding a babysitting job that might not be all its cracked up to be and a young man worried about dissappointing someone for his "first time". Needless to say, Justin seemed very knowledgable about said "first time" and discussed in a very detailed way what the young man should be looking forward to.
All this and much much more on the this episode of the Q. Real Radio....Real Honest!
