Well its Overtime and Mark and Justin continue on the talk with Jeremy and Chris regarding a question from a listener that turns into a music discussion of EPIC proportions. But all that comes second to the Finale of the IO9 March TV Madness tournament that the guys have been doing over the past few OVERTIME shows. It's recommended to go back and listen to the last few Overtimes to figure out how we got to where we ended on this show. Definitely a OVERTIME that needs to be heard, especially if you like music and discussing its finer points. DOWNLOAD/LISTEN HERE: (right click and "save as" to download
So Io9.com decided to hold a March Madness style tournament of 64 Sci-Fi TV shows going up against each other to see who the KING SCi-Fi Show really is. Well me, Justin and a automated coin flipping machine decided to so the first round of the contest, and it was very interesting. See where your favorite shows stacked up and if they made it through on our end. So much fun....especially once the two men start discussing people and their real "drag" on society. On this Overtime for the Q....we are joined by Tone Cabral as we go more in depth about the Hate Mail that Mark received, plus Justin gets to openly vent about it....all cussy and everything. Then its on to some beer talk and finally a couple letters from the listeners that go awry. Trust me, this is an ending that required us to drink massive quantities of alcohol to get over. Plus they give some insights you might not have known about some of the "ancient artifacts" that they discuss in this bit of whip cream on the top of the pie. Its time again for the 2013 St. Louis Web Awards. There are many categories, but the one that best fits for The Q is the category of: 26.Best Use of Twitter to Promote a Business or Organization AND 27.Best Use of Twitter to Promote a Personal Brand Please goto: http://polls.riverfronttimes.com/polls/stl/webawards2013/ And vote for : WWW.TWITTER.COM/MARKBLAND Based off the controversial nature of The Q in dealing with Politics, I feel that we here at the Q have done a great job promoting discussion through Twitter and social media while driving a very diverse group of listeners into the thousands to listen to the weekly radio program on this site and on KYRO 1280AM. Please help support our plight to be recognized for our abilities. Thank you. Here it is in a nutshell: A horse race draws attention and media outlets needed that with a boring and complacent drone that is Mitt Romney. With that said, the national polls are close and tight. The issue is the US President doesn't face a national election. in fact he faces 50 state-level elections that are aggregated to total. Those polls are not "close" in the sense that the president doesn't have enough states to gather 270 electoral voters. Yet, he is not ahead by overwhelming margins in many states. The movement of 3% of voters in 5-7 states, can change the election dramatically. So, in sum, it's not "nearly tied" but it's not a landslide either. |
